These shelf brackets have been designed and engineered to support floating shelves up to 14" Deep and 2" + thick. They are constructed of 1/4" thick 100% American steel.
Our floating shelf hardware has been engineered to support shelves from 2" thick to 2 1/4" thick and from 7" up to 14" deep (for mantels, desks, or thicker shelves, we make brackets for these too). Designed for professionals and DIY’ers in mind, these brackets are simple to install on masonry, sheetrock, plaster, and paneled walls.
**HD Bracket distributed weight capacity is 45 LBS per rod.**
Rods per floating bracket sizes:
10 – 30 inch brackets = 2 Rods
34 – 46 inch brackets = 3 Rods
50 – 58 inch brackets = 4 Rods
70 – 78 inch brackets = 5 Rods
Our shelf hardware is constructed of 1/4" thick steel, have 90° junctions to fit precisely into mortises or dados, and patent pending set-through construction with 360° welds. When mounted correctly, these brackets will support maximum distributed loads from 90 lbs. to 225 lbs.*, depending on the length of the bracket and installation. Drywall anchors will not hold the same weight.
ALWAYS mount floating shelves into wall blocking or studs. Failure to do so may result in saggy shelves, falling objects or even injury.

For shelves X long -You will need:
| Shelves 12" – 36" Long – Single Bracket per shelf
| Shelves 36" – 59" Long – Single bracket or two shorter brackets per shelf
| Shelves 60" – 85" Long – Single bracket or two shorter brackets per shelf
| Shelves 86"- 120" Long – Two brackets per shelf
1. Order single or series of multiple brackets just shorter than your shelf length, Ideally somewhere between 2"-6" shorter
2. Set screw holes can be drilled in the base of the rods to screw the shelf onto the bracket. You can also glue shelves onto the bracket with silicone. Both are equally effective, but glue is easiest. Select NO if you will glue your shelves to the bracket or plan to drill your own screw holes after the shelf is installed. Either of these are the easiest and best ways to fix a shelf to our bracket.
Select YES in the drop down menu if you want screw holes drilled for you that you can send a screw into. Works as well, but slightly harder to do.
3. For more weight capacity, use more, shorter brackets. More horizontal rods= more weight capacity.
4. All brackets up to 30" long have two (2) rods, brackets 30", 38", 42", & 46" have 3 rods, 50", 54", & 58" have 4 rods, 70" & 78" have 5-rods.
5. Brackets have a 1-1/2" High x 1/4" Thick back bar and6"-1/4" long x 3/4" OD rods.
6. Mounting holes are drilled 1" in from each end and 4" OC throughout. If these do not line up with a stud or blocking, the bracket back bar can be easily drilled through with a standard 3/16" drill bit to create a hole that does line up.
7. Installation Directions are included. Hardware and tools not included.
8. We recommend that you mount these brackets with a 2" long #10 wood screw (not included)
9. You can use paddle/spade bits, augers or forschner bits to drill the rod holes. We recommend auger bits, but they can be pricey.Hardware stores sell inexpensive (about $6) extension shafts that you can use with paddle/spade bits to reach the required 6-1/2"depth. Normal paddle/spade bits only allow about a 4.5" depth hole, FYI.
