FEATURED IN "JEWELRY ARTIST" MAGAZINE—NEW MODEL EVEN BETTER !
I've been teaching this method of sawing jump rings for more than 30 years, and a while back decided to produce the jig for others to use ! My technique is simple, clean and SAFE.No more worries about cutting your fingers while sawing, and the actual sawing part is much easier and more precise. All cutting is done INSIDE the coil and slightly into the wood v-groove (or oval) below the coil (as the cut is completed).
With the Basic SAWBLOK tm, you get the block itself and illustrated, easy-to-follow instructions. This is what you would order if you already have a jeweler's saw and 2/0 size blades.
With the Deluxe SAWBLOK tm, you get the block, a nice 2 1/2"- 3" throat jeweler's saw, two dozen fine cut (2/0 or 3/0) blades and the illustrated instructions. This is what you would order if you don't have a saw already.
SAWBLOK tm is an elegantly simple solution to the frustration that can develop when you try to cut jump rings from a coil using a hand saw.SAWBLOK tm can be mounted in a vise or simply used on the tabletop, perhaps on a non-slip pad .I usually recommend the vise to keep it very stable, but it's not required.
It can handle just about any size of wire coil used in jewelry making, and will accommodate ROUND and OVAL coils of many different sizes and lengths thanks to the three sizes of v-grooves and one concave groove.
The SAWBLOK tm I ship to you may vary a little in appearance from the photos, as I'm constantly improving on my designs, but it will always function as promised.Approximate size of the SAWBLOK tm is 4" x 1 1/2" x 2 1/2".Made in USA
